National Rose Society of Australia Webinar

Webinar Invite

The National Rose Society of Australia is holding a special event webinar for all financial members of the National Rose Society of Australia.

This webinar will be held on:

Sunday 18 August 2024.

Time: 3:30pm Eastern Standard Time (Sydney)

It will feature Dr Uwe Stroeher, Head of the Research and Development team at Neutrog Fertilisers. He will talk on Keeping Diseases in Check.

This is a not to be missed opportunity to hear one of Australia's leading experts on growing better roses and soil health.

Dr Stroeher graduated from the University of Adelaide in 1993 with a Ph.D in Microbiology. He was employed at the university for a further six years working as a research scientist on aspects of cholera. In 1988 he was awarded the prestigious Alexander von Humboldt Research Fellowship and subsequently spent over two years working in Germany.

On his return to the University of Adelaide he worked as a research scientist researching hepatitis, bacterial infections and super bugs that can cause pneumonia and meningitis. During this time he published over 40 peer reviewed journal articles and two book chapters.

Over the last 25 years he has had a keen interest in soil microbiology and bioremediation. When Neutrog approached him over 17 years ago, he jumped at the chance to work with the company in the development of GoGo Juice and then Litterbugs (to be marketed and sold as LitterM8) - an ammonia liberating biological for use in animal bedding (chooks, pigs et) with domestic applications in cat litters. He is a regular contributor to Graham Ross's Gardening Show and a most sought after expert consultant and  speaker for commercial and domestic growers and events.
