The 2025 Bert Mulley Memorial Award

I was pleased on the recommendation of The Awards Committee, to yesterday present the 2025 Bert Mulley Memorial Award to long time Illawarra member Helen Curll. The presentation was made at the Illawarra Region’s Christmas celebration.

Helen was Secretary of the Illawarra region for many years, and was even longer Show Secretary, and was for some time one of Illawarra‘s delegates to State Council.

On a personal note, Helen became Illawarra Secretary in 2004 at the same time I became Illawarra President. Over the many years we held these positions we worked harmoniously together. So it was extra special for me to present this, our most prestigious award to Helen yesterday.

Helen’s son and granddaughter had travelled from Quirindi to see Helen receive the Award.
